This example illustrates the functionality of SharpEye for converting moderately simple piano music. Time to manually correct errors in automatic recognition was 4 minutes and 50 seconds without proof listening. The music is also printed slightly smaller than normal, which causes more errors in the recognition due to lower printing quality.

Comments: Note that SharpEye ignores fingering marks. Fingerings with broken tips at the bottom of the number (usually the "3" and the "5") are often identified as staccato marks.

Missing first half-note chord in l.h. probably due to break in noteheads.

bar 9
Missed trill marks on beats 1, 2, & 3 of r.h.

SharpEye does not allow slurs between durational note and grace notes, so it cannot correctly interpret the last slur in the measure.

Missing "cresc." mark because SharpEye ignores them. Missing staccatissimo marks on last three notes of l.h.
bar 13
Flat in beat 2 of r.h. interpreted as a half-note on C5. Missing second beam on beat 2, so notes are interpreted as eighth-notes instead of sixteenth-notes.
